Earlier on this site Coach Robert Lansdorp responded to a post from Dr. Ray Brown entitled “The Fall Of American Tennis”. In it Robert took issue with the idea that “now” it is the “parents”. I am sure he is as tired of all the different voices chiming with a different reason for failure as anyone else. In his response he explained it is much more the fault of the coaching today here in the USA than it is the parents. He places the blame squarely on the Player Development system the USTA has here in the USA.

Here is yet another email from Dr Ray Brown. But this one is special because it comes with an answer from the one and only Robert Lansdorp. Robert takes issue with the idea the parents are to blame and instead says the problems originate with the coaches. Coach Lansdorp’s answer is in green as a response.

What I have inserted below is from Wayne Bryan. He is commenting on the absurd comment from Patrick McEnroe regarding how long he thinks it will take to get the USTA programs working. I only wish I had as much time as he requests for success. Private sector or anything else-heck marriage–you think your wife would give you 15-20 to get it right? Anyway, below is Patrick’s suggestion and Wayne’s response. You decide for yourself.
The following is the second of two fantastic emails penned by Dr. Ray Brown. This particular email deals with the analysis of the “Bureaucratic Mind”. His attempt here is draw attention to the idea just because someone from the USTA has put forth an idea or a marketing scheme does not automatically make it accepted as fact.
