New Mexico State Men’s Tennis vs. Boston University Men’s Tennis

This week with the “Road Not Taken” we are looking at two teams in very different parts of the country. New Mexico State University is located in the southwest at Las Cruces, New Mexico. Boston University, is located in Boston, Massachusetts. Both schools compete at the Division 1 level.

The New Mexico State Aggies are coached by Carlos Vargas. Click on the link and take a look at their: roster. The 2012-2013 roster shows one young man from the United States. The rest of the team is from all over the world.

The Boston University Terriers are coached by Rick Edelman. Click on the link and take a look at their: roster. The 2012-2013 roster shows there is only one foreign player on the team.

When you look at the rankings for both teams from end of last year neither one of them are ranked in the Top 75. So
maybe since the Aggies chose to go outside of the USA for most of their players they plan to win a whole lot more. Please remember in the poem this particular column on the blog gets it’s name from the author Robert Frost does not say one road is better than they other. He simply says he chose the one he preferred. And I think this is the choice we have here for both teams as one team chooses to go down one road and the other chose another. You guys make the call–which one is heading down the right road.
