This Sunday join us for an hour as we discuss tennis with the great Vic Braden. Vic has been an inspiration for me over the years. When I first picked up tennis my father would sit me down in front of the television each week during a period of time where they would broadcast the Vic Braden Tennis Show on the Public Broadcasting Channel. I would sit and watch it and I remembered a lot of what he did and said. Years later I was pleased when I was able to purchase his video series. I first got them on VHS, wore them out and then got them again on DVD. Great Stuff!
After that I was coaching at the Nationals in San Jose and Coach Braden wandered up to the viewing tower near where I was watching my player. He stayed for a long period of time with some other gentlemen from Wilson Sporting Goods and observed the matches. All of his quick observations were right on target for each of the individual matches and players he commented on and so were his overall views on the direction tennis was heading in general as he watched some of the nation’s best players battle it out on the courts.
Since that time he has spoken in many areas and at many events where I have been in attendance. His observations are always fresh, new and his wit still comes through in his presentations. He always takes time for people and he is one of the kindest people involved in the game of tennis. I cannot remember where he has not helped out with a request or shared information.
Please join us on Sunday, December 9th, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time for a great interview with Vic Braden.0
